We coordinate the bookings of your host family accommodation for your group.

However if you need help with coach travel, programs and Language lessons, summer camps, we can advise you.

Whatever your needs, cultural trips, horse riding , sailing experiences, we can help provide them, all you have to do is ask !

Once you have filled in your information our admin team will check availability and prepare a quotation for you, this is valid for 2 weeks. Currently the demand for host families in Dublin and Ireland has risen 400% we advise early booking so that we can secure host families asap. Please note as there is a current shortage of host families in Dublin most of our hosts live 45-80 minutes commute into the city centre, by bus, train or tram and if you are a large group they will be spread over 2-4 areas with a couple of meetings points - thank you The Host Family Team

Commute time to city

Most of our host families live within 30 to 60 minutes commute to the city centre, Irish families who offer their rooms do not live in the city center and we have only a small number of hosts who live walking distance.
However Dublin offers an excellent transport service, with plenty of bus, train, and tram.

How do i pay my rent

For individual bookings you pay your rent directly to your host family, on the day you arrive and you are satisfied with your accommodation. You can pay weekly or monthly and you can discuss this with your host.

Do I have to pay a deposit

Some hosts ask for this, please discuss with your host family.

What do i receive for payment of my Agency fee

We take away the stress and hard work of finding a room in Dublin. Due to the housing crisis, Students & Interns are experiencing great difficulty in finding rooms for rent, We have over 2500 host family's in Dublin and over 1000 host families throughout Ireland. We match your requirements to the host family's who have availability to ensure you have a happy comfortable, affordable stay.

If for any reason we were unable to find you a host family we would refund you our fee

If you were unhappy with your accommodation on arrival to your host family’s we would find you a an alternative asap.
If you require another host family as your circumstances change we would find you a new room at a reduced fee

What is provided by my host family

Your room should have fresh bed linen and be clean and comfortable, you should bring your own towel and toiletries.
Your host will show you the general area, where to catch bus, tram, train etc, local shops for bus tickets etc.
If you have a package inc meals, your host will provide you with good standard of meals.

What are the house rules

You should discuss this with your host family on arrival!
General house rules would be:

Be respectful to everyone in your host family.
No guests permitted in your room without consulting your host first.
No smoking inside the hosts home.
No drinking , alcohol, drugs.
If you have any issues discuss them with your host first, they will try to address them.
After 9pm keep noise to a minimum.
Tidy up after your self.
If you are on a room only package discuss with your host when you can use the kitchen and laundry (buy your own detergent).
Use please and thank you, our hosts love good manners.

If i wish to change host / move into accommodation with friends how much notice do i have to give

Please give your host 1 x weeks notice and the same would apply if they wanted to give you notice if circumstances changed.

Is the area safe

We ensure that our host family's are in good family areas, with excellent transport services.
We have many host familys in the North of Dublin which is a fantastic area, with lots of wonderful amenities and places to visit and very safe.
In the heart of Dublin City like any Citys we ask that you take extra care of your personal belongings, mobile phones etc.
